Valentine flowers in our back yardWe went to Rangoli for Valentines day. It is a cafe owned by Vij's restaurant in Vancouver. They have great food there for a reasonable price.

Taste of the World

At the international Graduate school we attend we have an annual Taste of the world festival where everyone brings a food dish from their home country to share with everyone else. We brought cookies.

SuperBUMMER XLI

It was a sad day as a Bears fan today. At least Da Bears made it to the superbowl. Rex is young and maybe will play better in the Superbowl next year. Here are some pictures of our XLI party.

Lisa's b-day

We celebrated our friend Lisa's birthday tonight. It was her friends b-day named Lisa too.

Quilts

Here is my mother with students at a local middle school who crocheted quilts for Birthright. Birthright is a non-profit organization that assists women through an unplanned pregnancy. My mother has been volunteering with Birthright ever since I can remember.

BC PLACE

Here are some pictures of the BC Place (the domed stadium in Vancouver) with the roof deflated and inflated. On January 5th, 2007 the roof of the dome ripped due to bad weather and caused the roof to deflate. The dome was re inflated on January 15th.

Here is a pic of Tara and I eating with my friend Monte. We had some great Thai food close to UW in Seattle.

Tara and I had quite the adventure coming back to Vancouver. Our flight time was moved without anyone telling us on Saturday. When we were driving up from the Seattle airport our car started to overheat and we lost our power steering because a belt slipped. However, we made it back safely and celebrated Nick's ninth b-day.
